The Women's Super League club are finalising sealing the deal for prolific German forward Lea Schüller on a permanent transfer away from Bayern Munich.
Schüller, who has six months remaining on her deal, is known as a prolific goalscorer for both club and country. Having netted over 100 goals for the German giants and scored 54 times in 82 caps for Germany. This signing will be seen as a major signing for the WSL side.
Her exit from Bayern has been anticipated since she appeared to be holding back emotions while applauding the German club’s fans following a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
Reports in December that the German women's top flight was losing one of its top forwards. Per multiple sources, the formalities for the transfer have now been completed.
The experienced striker's arrival is expected to provide a major boost to United’s forward line. She has been remarkably consistent with her finishing in Germany’s top flight.
