Following quite some time of anticipation, the BR experience for Battlefield 6 is at last launching. Last week's speculation indicating its arrival would coincide with Season 1 were spot-on. Fans can access the action starting tomorrow.
In tandem with the BR mode, Season 1 is also kicking off. It brings a fresh location, a fresh game type, and new weapons. What's more, this new sector is being introduced. An embedded preview will become available at release, giving players a preview of what's to come.
Perhaps the most significant news is that the battle royale mode will be complimentary. In the vein of popular titles, you don't have to buy the base game to participate. Several players have earlier tried early versions of the game type. Those trials were run in a collaborative space, which the team described as their largest player partnership effort.
The intense thrill while fighting enemy players can't be found in other BR game. It's like life or death, and you really mind if you make it or not.
Even though I considered myself a critic beforehand, I'm now for the BR mode since trying it.
Such first impressions from testers have been overwhelmingly favorable. Of course, the mode may have changed over the past couple of months in terms of tuning and tempo. Still, early signs are positive that this new mode could become a real alternative to established games. Players are hoping that the most effective firearms from the base title will also apply in the BR.
